SAE Class 1, All categories
SAE Class 1 is the highest possible standard for omnidirectional emergency warning lighting, but it’s more than just light output. The beacons are subjected to intensive colour and photometric testing as part of the standard, however crucially, a beacon does not pass unless it ALSO passes a series of mechanical and environmental tests as well. Only when it passes ALL the various testing is it then certified as SAE Class 1.
